App Store Data Collection and Privacy Labels

As required by the Apple App Store, we provide detailed information about our data collection practices through privacy labels. These labels indicate:

  • Data used to track you: We do not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies
  • Data linked to you:
    • Email address and name (through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In)
    • User ID (to maintain your account)
    • Usage Data (to improve our services)
    • Diagnostics (crash data and performance information)

For iOS users: You can control app tracking permissions through your device settings. While we don't track users across third-party apps and websites, you can manage app permissions through your iOS device settings.

Your chats with AI companions are encrypted in transit and at rest between our servers. This means that your conversations generally remain private and cannot be accessed by our staff during normal operations.

However, please be aware that when using our Services:

  1. Your chat content must be transmitted to third-party AI models through OpenRouter to generate responses
  2. While we implement security measures, the processing of your messages by third-party AI models is subject to their respective privacy policies and security practices
  3. We select partners who maintain high security standards, but we cannot guarantee the same level of protection once your data is processed by these third-party services

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

Providing and Improving the Services

  • Creating and managing your account
  • Processing payments
  • Delivering the core functionality of the App
  • Improving and personalizing the Services
  • Analyzing usage patterns to enhance user experience

AI and Chat Data Usage

Regarding our AI technology and chat data:

  • We do not use any identifiable user data to train our AI models
  • Your chat data is stored securely and is only accessible to you
  • Chat history is retained as long as your account remains active
  • You can request deletion of your chat history at any time

All service providers are contractually obligated to use your Personal Data only as directed by us and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect and defend our rights or property
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services

We retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide you with the Services or to comply with legal obligations. When establishing retention periods, we consider:

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

LonelyBots is based in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. where our servers are located.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email (if we have your email address) at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
